Moving Practice With Breath

This is a progressive series where the fundamentals are learned in a safe and fun environment. Each class is clearly designed to build upon the previous class in a pace that’s manageable for just about everyone. Upon completion each student will be able to unroll their mat in most yoga classes and know what to expect without being completely lost.


To create a strong foundation with the physical practice
To introduce breath awareness and techniques
To dispel any myths common to everyday people
To develop an understanding of the language used most classes
To learn more about mind/body connection
To establish confidence to attend any yoga classes
To make new friends and create community

What is NOT required:



Session 1

~ Intro to Yoga / Developing Body & Breath Awareness / Intro to ½ Sun Salutation A / Basic standing poses / Use of Props / Define Savasana / Elemental flow sequence

Session 2

~ Review breathing Techniques / Standing poses / Standing Balances / Add repetition / define Drishti

Session 3

~ Begin to be more fluid in the flow of the class/ intro to simple backbends / Elements of Sun B

Session 4

~ Flow series putting elements together / Peak Series = Sun B
